●NOYA RAO:
The self generating light of the tree is traditionally considered to be the presence of the Divine within the tree. and is directly connected with source and can help one awaken to their own direct and unique connection to source or the divine. The light it emits is the light of the sun, it has learnt to harness and reflect the suns light, exemplifying its connection with all that is, or the solar divine principle, thus it deeply exemplifies and teaches a love that is pervasive and indiscriminate. Living in ever increasing states of love, compassion and awareness are some of her most essential teachings, as well as the true nature of the self and reality.
The light of the tree illuminates what has been in the shadows and thus she can help us grow aware of what was being retained within the subconscious. Moving the bounds of conscious mind into the subconscious is how we heal, become whole and evolve. Thus she is also a healers plant as she helps us to see to the roots of issues, our own and others.
Within the tradition she is known as the path of love, the path of light and the path of truth. These are really different aspects of the same thing which is her light as a direct manifestation of divinity which is beyond definition. Her light is the light of the universe, it is what gives us life, thus it has and shows a love for us that is difficult to understand with our human minds, and this same light helps us shed awareness on the necessary areas of our existence.
Plant Spirit is a form of spiritual remediation rooted in ancestral traditions that combines classical Chinese~ Five Element theory, the indigenous practice of calling upon plant spirits, and the Animism religion (the attribution of a soul to plants, inanimate objects, and natural phenomena.) Plant Spirit recognizes that like humans, plants have spirit, and their spirit has the unique capacity to touch and rebuild the spirit of a human being and restore us to our own essential nature. Our ancestors lived this way–-an existence in which there is no illusion of separation from nature. They would make friends with the spirits of nature and call upon them for restoration and other everyday affairs. This ancient practice was remembered, revitalized, and reintroduced by the late teacher and healer, Eliot Cowan, and has proven to be as effective in today’s world as in times past.
